We had a fantastic time at this year’s Goff’s Oak Summer Fayre.
Alongside our charity stall, we were delighted to be part of such a wonderful community event again and have the opportunity to raise awareness of Stargardt’s disease and the work we do.
A huge thank you to the Goff’s Oak Community Association for choosing us as one of three charities supported by the event’s fundraising efforts. Our fundraising game, Blind Pong (our take on beer pong), was super popular again. Players wore simulation glasses designed to replicate the effects of Stargardt’s before attempting to throw a ball into a cup to win a sweet treat. It was a fun way to help people understand some of the challenges faced by those living with sight loss.
The Fayre was packed with family-friendly entertainment, fantastic local businesses, charities, food vendors, and live music, creating a brilliant atmosphere throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall, played the game, made a donation, or took the time to learn more about our charity. Your support helps us continue our work to give support, raise awareness and seek a cure.
