Whilst living with Stargardt’s, Utkarsh also works in supply chain finance, reads between 50 and 100 books each year thanks to assistive technology and his passion for learning, and is a devoted husband and father to a two-year-old. Utkarsh is also the author of the science fiction novel The Gravity Shock Planet 2121, which earned a spot on Amazon’s book chart.

Utkarsh’s message to the community: “It’s not that easy. I’ve had to jump through multiple hoops and still face ongoing challenges. But this is a lifelong battle I’m willing to fight. I’m determined to bring greater awareness to Stargardt’s, not through pity, but through meaningful contribution. Disability doesn’t mean inability. And our challenges don’t define us- our drive to rise does”.
