Stargardt's Connected

We are 6 years old!!

Celebrating 6 years since Stargardt’s Connected became a registered Charity!

On Saturday our wonderful team got together for our Stargardt’s Connected Strategy Day, celebrating all that we have accomplished in the last 6 years as well as discussing exciting plans for the future. Our 3 pillars of raising awareness, giving support and seeking a cure drives all that we do with our community always being the beating heart of our work.

Thank you for your continued support!

Happy 6 Years Stargardt’s Connected!

PD: A photo of the Stargardt’s Connected team holding a big 6 balloon and the certificate of charity status. From left to right we have Marina, Toby, Andi, Bhavna, Louise, Rob, Rosie, and Rea.

Stargardt's Connected

We had a fantastic time at the Hounslow Vision Impairment Partnership Celebration and Information Fair yesterday, sharing all the great work we do at Stargardt’s Connected.

It was inspiring to meet and connect with other organisations dedicated to supporting people with vision impairment. We also loved chatting with members of the community and hearing their stories. We even managed to catch some insightful presentations from doctors and medical researchers on understanding eye conditions, promoting eye health, and increasing diversity in research.

The event closed on a high note with a powerful rendition of Mariah Carey’s Hero by a wonderfully talented visually impaired singer.

Stargardt's Connected

At Stargardt’s Connected, community is at the heart of everything we do. This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the power of connection, supporting one another through the ups, downs, and everything in between.

From peer support groups, Zoom sessions to in-person events and our community register, we’re here to bring people together. Whether you’re a young person, an adult, or a loved one of someone with Stargardt’s, you’re not alone. Stargardt’s Connected is here for you, because building connections isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.

Send us a DM or reach out at [email protected].
