We are so delighted to share June’s amazing Stargardt’s Star, Shreya Mehta. 🌟
Shreya was diagnosed with Stargardt’s when she was 21 during her second year at university. Finding it overwhelming at first, Shreya managed to moved forward with positivity thanks to the support from her friends, family, university and consultant.
Now 25 and working as an Aircraft Performance Engineer at Vertical Aerospace in Bristol developing electric aircraft, Shreya is helping to shape the future of green aviation with pride, never allow Stargardt’s to hold her back.
Shreya advice: “If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you’re still capable of achieving anything, you just need to approach it with resilience and adapt in your own way. There’s always a way forward.”

Shreya also recently completed a 10K for Stargardt’s Connected and raised a whopping £1,948.
