Stargardt’s is a rare condition, and besides our needs, our community has unique skills and are incredible individuals!
So please meet Thelma! She is a 40-year-old woman with green eyes, and curly hair. In the photo, she is wearing lipstick and a red top. Thelma was diagnosed at the age of 12, and from then on, she has lived a full life, always adapting when needed. Thelma is a physical education professional and psychomotor specialist, currently working as a swimming, water aerobics and personalized service teacher in aquatic activities. Throughout her life, she has always been active and thoughtful about health and quality of life. Moreover, she regularly does bodybuilding and swimming. She loves nature and enjoys hiking.
Among so many dreams he has, the biggest one is taking a trip to a reserve called Jalapão National Park (Brazil).
Thelma is passionate about life, and although the paths are often challenging, she believes that all opportunities are experiences that allow us to evolve. She says that sometimes she is afraid of Stagardt’s disease, but with courage, she overcomes barriers, believing that her journey is long with a promising future!
