As one of the two chosen charities, by the Mayor of Broxbourne Councillor Patsy Spears, Bhavna was delighted to be invited by the Mayor to have lunch with the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Anna Rankin to talk about Stargardt’s Connected, what the charity does and to raise awareness of Stargardt’s Disease.

It was an honour to be invited and great to meet a few of the other amazing local charities and the hear about the impact they have on the local community.

We’re delighted to announce that Stargardt’s Connected will be exhibiting at Sight Village London on both Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October 2026. We’d love for you to come along, visit our stand and have a chat with us about what we do, the support we offer,  how we connect people affected by Stargardt’s disease, and how you can get involved. 

Sight Village is the UK’s leading exhibition for blind and low-vision communities, bringing together thousands of visitors to discover the latest technology, innovative products and support services. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore new developments in a welcoming, sensory-rich environment where you can see, touch and experience products and services for yourself.

Dates: Tuesday 27th (9:30am-3:30pm) and Wednesday 28th October (9:00am-3:00pm). 
Venue: ILEC Conference Centre, 47 Lillie Road, London, SW6 1UD

This year, our Family Day with VICTA UK took us on a truly magical adventure to Warner Brothers Studio Tour London, The Making of Harry Potter! ⚡

From exploring the incredible sets with special tactile sections, discovering magical details, and sharing the excitement together, it was a day full of wonder, laughter and unforgettable memories.

It was so special to see families connecting, friendships growing, and everyone enjoying a little Hogwarts magic together. Days like these remind us how important it is to create opportunities for families to come together, share experiences and make memories that last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to Warner Brothers Studio Tour for helping make this year’s Family Day so special. And a special thank you to VICTA UK for being part of our adventure!

We can’t wait to see what magic our next family adventure brings!
